A Celebration of Love – Commemorating Mother’s Day with TRANS FSC (Bedok Reservoir)

In celebration of Mother’s Day, TRANS Family Service Centre (Bedok Reservoir) set up an engagement booth at Heartbeat@Bedok. Visitors took part in a fun spin-the-wheel activity, where each spin revealed a myth or fact about seeking help from social services and the role of Family Service Centres (FSCs). Meaningful conversations arose from the common misconceptions that were addressed.

The team also used the opportunity to share more about the support services available at our FSCs. Informational brochures were handed out to residents and anyone interested in learning more.

Overall, the event was a valuable opportunity to connect with the community, raise awareness, and promote help-seeking.

DISC Profiling Workshop: Growing Together at TRANS

35 new staff members of TRANS Family Services took part in an engaging DISC Personality Profiling workshop by Anagram Group. Through interactive activities and eye-opening exercises, they explored how personality styles could shape communication and teamwork.

The DISC workshop is one of TRANS Family Services’ initiatives to enhance teamwork and cohesion at work, and reflects our commitment to continual professional development.

Welcome Back to TRANS FOCUS Active Ageing Centre!

After half a year of renovation, TRANS FOCUS Active Ageing Centre (AAC) was thrilled to welcome back over 145 seniors to a refreshed, vibrant, and cosy space in the heart of the Toh Yi community. To celebrate this special homecoming, we hosted a delightful buffet and a lively performance by entertainer Alex Tan, bringing joy and energy to everyone present.

The newly renovated centre now features a spacious and airy layout, including upgraded toilets, a pantry, and open areas that allow our seniors to comfortably enjoy a wide range of activities.

Partnering for Impact: Eastern Region Networking Meeting

On 4 April 2025, TRANS Family Services hosted a networking session for colleagues from the Ministry of Social and Family Development and community partners in the eastern region.

The session served as a meaningful platform for partners to envision what an integrated, team-based model of care for complex cases involving multiple agencies could look like.

We are grateful to our dedicated partners’ participation. MSF, SSO, Allkin Singapore, Care Corner Singapore Ltd, Good News Community Services, Montfort Care, Methodist Welfare Services, PPIS, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities, YGOS – Youth Guidance Outreach Services, and SBL Vision FSC

Celebrating World Social Work Day

Staff from across TRANS Family Services (TFS) came together for a meaningful and energizing morning on World Social Work Day. Each centre gave a presentation on a programme or practice — ranging from community work projects to trauma-informed care.

The session was a valuable opportunity for staff from different centres to connect and be inspired by one another, uniting our commitment to collaboration, shared learning, and delivering holistic support to the communities we serve.
