A Celebration of Love – Commemorating Mother’s Day with TRANS FSC (Bedok Reservoir)

On 23 November 2025, TRANS Family Services (Bedok & Bedok Reservoir) collaborated with EtonHouse Community Fund to host a family bonding and enrichment outing at Gardens by the Bay and EtonHouse Garden School by the Bay for families with children aged 7 to 12 years old. The programme aimed to create shared memories and strengthen parent-child relationships through hands-on learning. Children participated in a photography workshop that encouraged creativity and nature exploration, while caregivers attended a parenting workshop that provided practical tips to support positive communication at home. Interactive engagement activities further promoted curiosity, teamwork, and meaningful connection among families. A total of 37 participants joined the event. We are grateful for the support of our community partners, who play a vital role in strengthening family bonds and enhancing overall well-being. Together, we look forward to creating more opportunities for families to learn, grow, and thrive through future collaborations!

On the afternoon of 14 November 2025, the administrative team at TRANS Family Services gathered for a dedicated workshop centred on Trauma-Informed Practice. Curated and facilitated by our own social workers and counsellors, the session was designed to deepen the team's understanding of the principles that guide our client care. We recognize that our admin staff are often the first point of contact for those seeking support. This session highlighted their critical role in establishing safety and trust from the very first interaction. By equipping them with these insights, we ensure that the warmth and professionalism they already display are grounded in best practices for client well-being. We are incredibly proud of our admin team for their commitment to learning and for being such compassionate ambassadors of our mission. A heartfelt thank you also goes to our clinical team for leading this impactful afternoon of shared learning.

Since its formation in April 2025, the East Region Practice Work Group — made up of partners from TRANS Family Services (TFS), YGOS, Montfort Care, THK and PPIS — has been meeting every two months with great energy and purpose. Each session has been a space for us to align our visions and practice directions, and prepare for the upcoming regionalisation of the sector. Together, the agencies have been openly exchanging insights, challenges, and ideas to strengthen services in the East. At our latest session on 13 November 2025 hosted by TFS, the TRANS FSC (Bedok Reservoir) team — together with the Practice and Service Development team — shared their project on key considerations in developing services and programmes. They also led an engaging activity where representatives from each organisation added their own on-the-ground experiences to shape a shared set of considerations that truly reflects the needs and hopes of the communities we serve. We also heard a thoughtful presentation from the Marine Parade FSC team on how they approach needs assessment. It was an invigorating afternoon of learning, reflection, and collaboration. Together, the work group is developing practical guidelines to inform service and programme development for the East region in the coming year.
