Family Counselling & Divorce Support

Strengthening Families Programme

FAM (TRANS Family Services), formally known as the Strengthening Families Programme (FAM), was launched on 1 December 2022. This initiative offers timely support to couples experiencing marital challenges and families showing early signs of strain. As an upstream intervention, the centre aims to strengthen relationships and address concerns early, helping to prevent the escalation of issues and promote long-term family well-being.

FAM (TRANS Family Services) provides a safe and non-judgemental space for:

Family Counselling

We provide family counselling for those experiencing stress or conflicts in family relationships such as parenting or co-parenting challenges, marital conflicts, sibling conflicts or conflicts with extended family members.

Divorce Transition Support

We provide support for families contemplating, undergoing, or who have undergone divorce. We offer a continuum of child-centric and family-focused programmes, including:

  • Counselling services to cope with divorce-related issues such as grief and loss, decision-making, co-parenting and adjusting to separation
  • Consultation sessions via the ‘Mandatory Co-parenting Programme’ to support parents in making informed decisions and prioritising the needs of their children (under 21 years of age) before filing for divorce
  • Workshops for parents and children equipping them with skills to cope with transitory challenges and build resilience
  • Support and therapeutic groups

The above programmes can be accessed on a voluntary basis or may also be court-mandated.

Online Counselling

In partnership with MSF, we offer online counselling to support individuals and families experiencing stress due to family-related issues, including marital issues and parent-child issues, through live chat, telephone or email. Find out more about the Family Assist Portal here.
