Seniors’ Life Story Group (Mandarin) at TRANS FSC (Bedok Reservoir)

From 22 August to 03 October 2025, 6 seniors came together for the first run of a guided autobiography groupwork in Mandarin. This groupwork adapted elements from James Birren’s Telling the Stories of Life through Guided Autobiography Groups and built upon a similar programme conducted in English in 2024.

Over the weekly sessions, participants engaged in a mix of large- and small-group activities and heartfelt discussions on themes such as family relationships, the meaning of money, major life roles, and what makes a “good death.”

The group provided a warm and supportive space for seniors to reflect on their life journeys celebrating their transitions, challenges, strengths, and resources while building meaningful connections and mutual encouragement along the way.
