To foster greater awareness of elder abuse within the community, TRANS SAFE Centre conducted a free one-hour interactive session in Mandarin for 14 seniors from Goodlife Studio (Bedok) on 4 Nov 2025.
The session covered these key topics:
- Understanding what elder abuse is and why it matters to our community
- Recognising common warning signs
- How to support friends or neighbours who may be facing difficulties
- Where to seek help and the national resources available
Through open conversations and shared learning, participants were reminded of the importance of staying connected, recognising when someone may need help, and knowing that support is available within the community.
By strengthening awareness and encouraging mutual care, the session aimed to build a safer, more supportive community of seniors who feel informed, confident, and supported.
