On a Saturday afternoon, TRANS Family Services marked Mother’s Day with a special programme for our migrant mothers and their children. The celebration provided a welcoming space for participants to share experiences and affirm one another, and build new friendships over a meal.
Beyond celebrating Mother’s Day, the gathering also offered an opportunity for participants to share their hopes, interests and ideas for future activities, helping to shape a community that is supportive, empowering and participant-led. While mothers actively participated in the discussion, their children were engaged in making keychains from air-dry clay facilitated by volunteers.
We are grateful to all the mothers, children, volunteers and staff who contributed to making the day a joyful and memorable one. Through initiatives such as the Migrant Brides Project, TRANS Family Services remains committed to fostering meaningful connections, strengthening support networks, and creating opportunities for women and families to thrive together.
