Building Connections with Our Volunteers: Volunteer Engagement Lunch 2026

TRANS Family Services hosted a special Volunteer Engagement Lunch on 17 January 2026, bringing together volunteers for an afternoon of connection, learning, and appreciation. The event was the first of its kind as volunteers were invited to bring along a family member or friend, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The programme featured icebreaker games, a quiz on the history of TRANS Family Services, and a sharing session to help volunteers better understand our work and discover upcoming volunteering opportunities. A highlight of the session was a sharing panel where experienced volunteers shared their personal journeys, meaningful moments, and reflections on volunteering with TRANS Family Services – offering valuable insights and inspiration to fellow participants. The gathering concluded with a hearty lunch enjoyed by all participants.

We extend our sincere thanks to the participants who joined us and contributed to the vibrant session, as well as to the Volunteer Management Subcommittee which thoughtfully planned and executed this meaningful and memorable session.
